About MTSD Summer Band Program

Before MTSD Summer ever existed, our music teachers ran the MTSD Summer Band Program. Our program not only offers our students authentic learning experiences under the tutelage of certified district staff members but ensures continuity of instruction, codifies technical practice, and maintains student engagement with their instruments. The Summer Band model paved the way for all our other summer programs, across all content areas.

Each session culminates with a small performance for friends and families on Friday of each week!

Week One | July 8 – July 12
Concert Band: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Jazz Band: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Week Two | July 15 – July 18
Concert Band: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Jazz Band: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Week Three | July 22 – July 26
Concert Band: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Beginning Band: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM | Please review the registration form for specific instructions regarding beginning band. Contact Ms. Zerilli for specific questions.

Program Fees* (per session)
Concert Band (175.00); Jazz Band (165.00); Beginning Band (165.00).

Please note that the GoFan service fee is not collected by the MTSD and therefore is non-refundable. The MTSD will not issue any refunds after July 4, 2024. If you wish to pay by check, please contact: summer@monroe.k12.nj.us.
