Summer of STEM | Grades (Rising) K – 2 | 20 seats per session
The Summer of STEM is the original MTSD Summer Program! As we enter our fourth year, we are excited to offer themed units of study for our youngest learners. Students entering Kindergarten next year are invited to attend! The Summer of STEM is welcome to all types of learners.

Dino Week Students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities exploring the prehistoric world and about the dinosaurs that inhabited it.  Students can look forward to taking on the role of a paleontologist and participating in hands on STEM activities focused on Dinosaurs!

Disney Week Each day of the week will focus on a different beloved Disney movie in relation to STEM based projects.  For example Hercules will teach about strength and simple machines, students will learn about ocean life with Moana, Cars will teach us about automotive engineering and many more!

Nature & The Environment | Students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities exploring nature around us. Students can look forward to taking on the role of an environmental engineer learning about different bugs and plants and the impact they have on our lives.  Weather permitting students will go on exploratory nature walks and participate in STEM activities focused on nature!

Exploring Robotics | Students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities exploring and introducing coding and robotics.  Students can look forward to using different online coding programs and learning about robots in our world!

Computer Aided Design (CAD) | Grades 3 – 9 | 20 seats per session
Program Fee: $175.00 (per session, to cover staffing and consumable materials)

CAD is RAD | Computer-Aided Design (or CAD) is becoming a critical skill in many 21st-century careers and academic programs. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get an early look at some cutting-edge practices that drive both traditional and modern design procedures. CAD is RAD!
